There is no doubt that Spain is renowned worldwide for its festivals, its nightlife scene and amazing parties. For a party to be considered a great one, it must have astounding music. This is when DJs come into play, those people who make us dance and enjoy every second of the night.
Some start, but only a few make their hobby their work, these are the ones that get us to jump into any club, disco or festival.
Spain has a large list of famous DJs, we do not have to go to other countries to find true gems that handle the plates like true masters, as well as a large number of electronic music festivals such as the Weekend Beach festival. Below the best Spanish DJ’s:
Paco Osuna
Paco Osuna is one of the most outstanding Djs on the national and international scene who was born in Barcelona in 1974. His countless trips around the world are taking him to the highest level of his professional career.
Edu Imbernon
Edu Imbernón is a DJ who has given a lot to talk about thanks to his long career in the world of electronic music, from a very young age. He is originally from Valencia (Spain), where he studied economics; however, he did not finish his studies and chose to focus entirely on music. So he moved to Berlin (Germany) and performed the single “German dance” in Liebe Detail, with the collaboration of his friend Coyu.
Edu Imbernón became popular in 2009 with “El baile Alemán”, the single was rated as “the best underground dance floor of the year” and was kept for two weeks as number one on the hit list of the digital music store Beatport. He has distinguished himself as a charismatic artist and has limited himself to using synthesized sounds, mixing with voices and musical instruments.
John Talabot
John Talabot is a well-known Spanish DJ, his real name is Oriol Riverola and he was born on January 8, 1982 in Barcelona. He is a great reference for electronic music and the “house” genre that, since 2009, has been very present in the music scene.
His career began with the single “My old school” and was previously known as: D.A.R.Y.L. His name is a pseudonym that he chose as a tribute to the place where he studied. The Spanish DJ became famous with the success of his single “Sunshine” in 2010, together with the Hivern Discs label. But his career took hold when he released Fin, an album produced by the Permanent Vacation label.
Oscar Mulero
Oscar Mulero is a renowned Spanish DJ, born in Spain in 1971. At the end of the 80s, the young man went to a vinyl store to get the record Standing on a Beach from the band The Cure. This was, without realizing it, Mulero’s beginning to become one of the most important DJs in the entire Iberian country.
Years later, he played several meters in Madrid, getting his first formal job at the New World club. Oscar Mulero began his career as a DJ when he collaborated in the creation of Nuclear Zone, the official song of New World, in the early 90s.
Cristian Varela
Cristian Varela is a DJ, who was born in the Chamberí neighborhood of Madrid (Spain) in 1975. He has been recognized as one of the forerunners of electronic music in Spain, for his 25 years of artistic career, in which he has gone through renowned nightclubs such as Van Vas, Attica and Saratoga, in addition, he has participated in the soundtrack of various film, theater and television productions.
Fátima Hajji
Fátima Hajji is an electronic music DJ from Salamanca (Spain). Fátima was born in 1982 and has Arab roots that are evident in her songs. She started working in the music industry in 1998 and was gaining fame in her homeland (Salamanca), little by little her music spread throughout Spain and later throughout Europe.
Fatima Hajji produces a wide variety of sounds ranging from techno, hard, tech house, among others.
Dj Nano
The chapters of his career encompass all the aspects and details that a comprehensive DJ can have. A potential showman, with charisma, dedication and heart. With overwhelming energy, he leaves his soul in each of his shows and interacts with the public as only he knows how.
